Byblos - The Oldest Continuously Inhabited City
Byblos (modern Jbeil) in Lebanon is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, occupied since 8800 BCE. It was a major Phoenician port that gave its name to the Bible (from 'papyrus').
